Fall in love with the places that surround you daily. Grab your camera, bring a friend, and take a walk as we discuss the intersections of history, culture, and wellness. These outings are designed to be group friendly, just for fun, and engaging. More details to come with walks throughout Dallas iconic neighborhoods.

Prepare for your walk

Walking to Wellness - Neighborhood Exploring are designed to be safe, social, and engaging opportunities. They provide for a strengthened community through networking to learn history, culture, and wellness practices from various experts and everyday people. The first hand content is delivered in a manner that encourages participation and learning while exploring. Preparing as an attendee will help ensure maximum enjoyment. Ask yourself what do you know about the neighborhood being visited, what are some cultural norms, and what are your initial thoughts you associate with the area. This practice of preparedness encourages mindful consideration of the unique and vibrant communities that have developed in Dallas.

Items to bring: Comfortable attire, footwear, reusable water bottle, phone, camera, and plenty of awesomeness.

Length of walks: To be determined, usually a few blocks with stops at predetermined locations for learning opportunities.

 

WHAT'S INCLUDED

An opportunity to explore wellness in the community and increase knowledge of practices that aid in healthy coping. This ranges from expert talks to hands-on experiences.

CANCELLATION POLICY

For individuals: 7 days advance notice required to receive refund for individual attendance. If unable to attend, you are welcome to have someone attend in your place. If this is needed, please contact Mind Above to update contact information of new attendee.

For groups: 14 days advance notice required to receive refund for scheduled group presentations. Cancellation after this point will result in no refund due to time allotted and materials prepared. Alternate attendees are welcome to attend in place of others unable to attend. If this is needed, please contact Mind Above in advance to update contact information of new attendee.
